EISTEDDFOD RUMPUS.
WOMAN JUDGE MOBBED. PANDEMONIUM REIGNS. Wild scenes were witnessed at the Bankstowns Friendly Societies' second annual eisteddfod yesterday, when a number of women took exception to awards made by the Adjudicator, Miss Wheeler, in the dancing section. Many ' murmurs of protest were heard during the early part of the programme, when several juvenile competitors were given prizes. Then the storm broke, when one woman rushed up to the table and accused Miss Wheeler of bias. Other women followed, and pandemonium reigned. The judging papers were torn up and thrown in Mi'ss Wheeler’s face, or scattered about the floor. The hub-bub was eventually quelled ; by the secretary, Mr P. G. Simmons, : and the competitions were continuedMiss Wheeler calmly -sat. through 1 ali the uproar, and refused to alter 1 her incisions.
