THE ENGLISH TEAM. EXPERTS’ VIEWS. BATTING NOT STRONG ENOUGH. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. Copyright. LONDON, May 25. Mr p. f. Warner, writing in the Morning Post regarding the chances of England in the test matches, says the batting of the England team is not quite good enough after No. 5. It might be overcome by making Ames wicket-keeper. He says he expected to find Duleepsinhji in the team, and is confident he will be there later, but is not sure that Geary will fit into the side. Mr Warner says he would not be surprised if The Rest win or get the best of the draw. Colonel Trevor, in the Dally Telegraph, congratulates the selection committee on sticking strictly to business relentlessly, and oq wisely declining to include any player whom they do not regard as having the least possible chance of playing in the first test match.
