Supply of Butter. Owing to the largely increased Supply of butter the Raglan factory is building a new box-room to meet 'the requirements. Harvest Festival. A very successful harvest festival and concert was held in the Okete Congregational Church, the proceeds from which amounted to £2l. Mr Humphries was in charge of the concert and Mr Featherstonhaugh acted as auctioneer. The programme consisted of items from Mrs and Miss Johns, Mrs Kemp, Mrs Humphries, Margaret Smeeth, W. Kemp, Messrs Perrott, Kemp and son, and Rev. James Smeeth. Mr Darby was accompanist. In the competition for home-made bread Mrs Humphries took first prize, Mrs Pond second, and Mrs Shieb third. Garden Party. A garden party in aid of the Anglican Church fund was held at Mr W. G. Vernon’s residence, Te Mata, the amount taken being £43. An ice cream stall was placed on the tennis court, and afternoon tea was procurable on the verandah and in the dining-room.
