Church Services. The Easter services at the local Church were very well attended. Rev. Cleary, of Ngaruawahia, conducted the Anglican service on Sunday afternoon, and in the evining the Methodist service was taken by Mr Manoah, a Samoan preacher. Football.. At a meeting of the Glen Massey Association Football Committee Mr R. Nairn presided. The secretary (Mr J. Gair) was instructed to purchase a new football, a punching ball, sets of Sandow developers, gloves and skipping ropes for training purposes and the use of members. It was decided to put the playing field in order during the week-end, and the hope was expressed that there would be a good muster of members to assist. The secretary was instructed to arrange for the registration of players and to issue membership cards on payment of subscriptions. Local Industry. Glen Massey is assuming a very busy appearance, owing to the activities in connection with Die development of the new mine. This week between forty and fifty new men have arrived to commence work on the branch railway to the collieries.

Personal. Mr R. Groves is leaving Glen Massey to take up a position at the Renown Collieries, Waikowhai. Miss Wilson, of Kihikihi, is at the Glen Massey School as relieving assistant. Misses E. Tanfield and E. Browm, of Hamilton, have been staying with their parents at Glen Massey. Mr and Mrs R. Gair have returned from a holiday at Huntly.
