VICTORIA v. NEW ZEALAND. CONTEST AT SHIRLEY LINKS. CHRISTCHURCH, Monday. The contest for the Kirk-Windeyer Cup, began at Shirley in fine weather. The teams are:— • New Zealand.—Horton, Macfarlane, Dr. Ross, and Black. Victoria.—Russell, Ryan, Hancock, and Bulte. The foursomes of 36 holes will be played to-day, and the singles toThe Scores At the end of the morning round Macfarlane and Horton were two up on Ryan and Bulte. Russel and Hancock were four up on Ross and Black.
