STRIKE LOSSES

ON AUSTRALIAN COALFIELDS. BIG REDUCTION IN EXPORT. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel.—Copyright. SYDNEY, April 12. The losses caused by the protracted strike is evidenced by the exports of coal from Newcastle for three months ended March 31. These totalled 122,882 tons, valued at £14(5,472, compared with 623,606 tons, valued at £734,238 for the corresponding period last year. The quantities exported included; Victoria, 64,000, compared with 251,000; South Australia, 22,000, compared with 180,000; New Zealand, 5000, compared with 55,000.
