WESTRALIAN ELECTIONS. POSITION YET OBSCURE. United Press Assn. —Elec. Tel. —Copyright. PERTH, April 13. The general election in Western Aus-tralia’--yesterday passed off quietly. In all 105 candidates went to the polls. The position at present is obscure, owing to the redistribution of votes. Mr T. A. L. Davy, Deputy Leader of the Opposition, has been rc-ejected for West Perth. The prospects are that Labour and the anti-Labour forces will each secure 25 seats in the Legislative Assembly. On the first count Miss Mary Holman apparently is re-elected for Forrest, but Miss Bromham has again been defeated in Claremont. They were the only women candidates. SOUTH AUSTRALIA. LABOUR TO FORM CABINET. United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. —Copyright. , ADELAIDE, April 13. The counting of the votes cast - at the general election in South Australia now shows that Mr M. Mclntosh, Commissioner of Works, has retained his seat, which had been precarious. Mr G. F. Jenkins, Minister of Local Government, has been defeated, however. The present state of parties is : Labour 30 Liberals 12 Country Party' 2 Doubtful 2 The Butler Ministry will resign on Monday and the Labour Party i§ to meet on Wednesday to select a Cabinet.
