GIRL STABBED.

EXTRAORDINARY MURDER. ASSAILANT ARRESTED. “ SORRY FOR WHAT OCCURRED.” United Press Assn.—Elec. Tel. —Corrrlght. LONDON, April 12. An extraordinary murder was committed at Dartford Heath near London. Evelyn Parker, aged 23, was walking with her younger sister Joan across the heath when a man sprang out from bushes. He pushed Joan aside and stabbed the elder gi.rl in the back. The knife penetrated the victim's heart. The man instantly disappeared. A search by a large force of policemen, detectives and civilians resulted in the discovery of the knife in the bushes.

Subsequently Albert Edward Margeram, of Belvedere, was detained at Erith. I-Ie was charged with the murder at the Dartford Police Court and was remanded until April 17. When asked to plead accused said : “I am very sorry it occurred. I never intended to commit murder.”
