At the mid-year meeting of the executive committee of the New Zealand Ladies’ Golf Union, Mrs Dodgshun was elected chairman. The dates for the ladies’ championship in 193 U, to he held at Heretaunga, were fixed for October 15th. to 23rd. At the close of the meeting Mrs Guy Williams announced that she wished to present two challenge cups for an annual fourso-mes competition event, to be known as the Autumn Foresomes, tiie coditions biting handicap and match play. Her offer was accepted, ad it was decided that the match be called the “L.G.U. Autumn Foursomes.” At the same time, the offer of Uie Manawatu Ladies’ Golf Club to hold this match on its links this year was accepted, the dates being fixed for May 7th., Bth., and 9th,
