THE PLUNKET FAIR.
OUTSTANDING SUCCESS. SATISFACTORY SUM REALISED. In spite of adverse weather during part of the afternoon, the Plunket Fair on Saturday was an outstanding success, no less than £l3O being realised, with several small sums still to come. The stalls were practically cleared. What remained of the produce was given to a social worker, who distributed it among people who were in necessitous circumstances, and the remainder from the other stalls was held over for the Plunket Society’s stall at the Winter Show. Raffia Results. The dinner raffle was won by Mr H. B. Cobb, whose guess was within two of the required number. Mr F. By)yd won the box of chocolates, and is asked to call at the Plunket Rooms to obtain possession of it. Another box of chocolates was won by Miss M. Braw; the set- of woollies by Mrs Colin Taylor; Miss Law’s cloth, by .Miss Didduns, of Christchurch; woolly kangaroo, by Mr Broeklesbyy and the pokerwork stool by Mrs Dingle. The committee of the Society wishes to thank all who helped to make the fair a success.
