DOMAIN LANDS.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —In your issue of the 7th inst. ‘■‘Citizen” said he had often wondered why the basin at the top of Collingwood street has not been utilised. As a resident of the Lake district for some years I am also surprised. For the information of “Citizen” I may state that I suggested to the late chairman a scheme or plan for making tne above basin one of the most attractive playgrounds in Hamilton, My suggestion was very coldly received. Sir, if "Citizen” leaves his address with the secretary (Mr G. Boyes) of the Domain Board, I will give him full particulars of the plans I suggested to the late chairman, with a view of drawing the attention of the Domain Board to this beautiful but neglected basin.—l am, etc. RESIDENT.
