EMPTY CHURCHES.

(To the Editor.) Sir, —Will you allow me space in your paper re" the wrangling as to the cause of our churches being nearly empty. The, question of why the churches are empty is quite easy to answer. 1 had always been a regular attendant at church until a few months bach, but now 1 would sooner stay at home than go to church and listen to the minister interfering with other people’s business, instead of preacling religion. They interfere too much, and the sooner they take the hint and' mind their own business the better it will be for the church. We do not want the ministers to tell us what we should do and what we should not do. We are quite able to look after ourselves.—l am, etc., HAMILTONIAN.
