Cambrldge-Matamata Road. In connection with Sir Joseph Ward’s unemployment schemes, fifty men are already at work between the Karapiro factory and the Hora Hora turn-off. The survey for the straightening of what is considered the most dangerous part of the Auckland-Roto-rua route was completed some time ago and the men are engaged on this work. Fifty more are expected to arrive shortly.
