KAIPAKI
The Kaipaki Hall was crowded on Thursday night when the local football club held its annual wind-up dance and euchre party. The dance room was nicely decorated, and a canopy of gaily-coloured streamers was suspended from the ceiling. The function as a whole was a great success. During the evening the Cambridge Union’s junior championship cup, also the Fitzgerald junior shield, were presented to Mr Scott, captain of the Kaipaki juniors, by the vice-president (Mr J. S. Fisher), whp congratulated the club on its success. Quite a number took part in tho euchre tourney, the prizes being won ag follows —Mrs Graham and Mr Sterling; consolation, Miss M. Cowley and Mr Thomson. Winners of the Monte Carlo waltzes were: Miss Taylor and Mr Caulston and Miss Lynds and Mr Painter. The committee, to whom credit for the success of the function is due, were as follows: Messrs A. Cowley (president), J. Graham, J. Boyd, J. Wallis, D. Walker, C. Hodgson, R. Catchpole, J. Scott. Kitchen and supper in charge of Mesdamcs Graham and Catchpole. Good dance musio was played by the Kiwi Orchestra, of Hamilton. Among the ladies present were Mes-
