NGARUAWAHIA.

Cricket Club Social. On Friday evening a very enjoyable social under the auspices of the Ngaiuawahia Cricket-Club was held. The euchre tournament conducted by Mr. Jeffreys, attracted many of the usual card players and Mr. and Mrs. Arnbler were successful in winning both sections. A large crowd of dancers spent an enjoyable evening to excellent music supplied by Miss O'Sullivan. Mr. Henry acted as M.C. The dainty supper supplied by the ladies was fully appreciated.

Cricket Club Prospects,

A good season’s play is anticipated by the Cricket Club. The Waikato Association has left the club in the senior B grade, as the raising of its status to A grade would have meant a bye every Saturday. The club has been strengthened numerically but the question of a ground if a second eleven is formed still requires solving.

Motor collision. On Monday morning a collision occurred between a van driven by Mr. Joe Fon and a private car, the driver of which w’as unknowm. The van was pulling out from a petrol station in Great South Road, when the car attempted to pass at a rapid speed. Fortunately no serious damage was done.

Presentation. On Thursday afternoon the Bridge Club held its final session of the season at the residence of Mrs. W. Paterson. During the afternoon Mr. 11. Rogers, on behalf of the club, presented Mrs. Paterson with a supper set as a token of appreciation for the facilities which she had provided for the season.
