TE PAHU WOMEN’S CLUB,

AN ENJOYABLE GATHERING. A large gathering of ladies enjoyed a splendid entertainment by Mrs Prentice and Mrs Brailsford. Mrs Prentice played descriptive music and explained the theme beforehand. Mrs Brailsford chatted about the earthquake in Japan, which occurred in the year 1922. A very pretty little Jap scene in costume was given by Beth and Norman Brailsford, assisted by little Miss Prentice. This was thoroughly enjoyed, especially by the children, who accompanied their parents. Mrs Hills, president of the Club, thanked the Hamilton ladies for one of the most happy afternoons ever held by the Club. Everyone was unanimous in praise. The usual dainty tea was served.
