Three brothers, Stephen, George and Robert McNamara, received severe razor slashes in an affray in a bedroom at a house at Ramsgate. The attack was a sequel to a domestic quarrel. The brothers went to the assistance of their sister, who was struggling with her husband, and were attacked.

Later George Cahill was charged with Inflicting grievous bodily harm. As eafch man wrestled with the husband for possession of the razor he received cuts about the body, face and arms.

Eventually a passer-by overpowered the husband.
