TRIBUTE TO CHIEF SCOUT. HANDSOME PRESENTATION. MOTOR CAR AND CHEQUE. (By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright.) (Australian t'i'ess ASafi. —united aurvict'./ LONDON, August 10. The Chief Scout, Sir Robert BadcnPowe 11 (now a peer), to-day toured the Boy Scouts' camp at Arrowe Park Birkenhead, on horseback. He addressed 500 scoutmasters. Christian Holm, Danisli Chief Scout, on behalf of the World's scouts presented Sir Robert with a Rolls-Royce motor-car with a caravan trailer, and a cheque for £2750, also a portrait in oils and an \ illuminated scroll in a casket. He paid a tribute to the Chief Scout for his inspiration to make boys loyal and useful citizens and id teach them the rules of the great game. The radiator of the presentation car bears a Fleur de Lys and is inscribed. “To our beloved Chief from the Boy Scouts of all the world.” The jamboree Is now approaching its end. The gates will be closed 1o the public on Monday morning. Pilgrims’ Way will then ring for three days with the tramp of youthful legions starting out upon their return to the four corners of the earth.
