MOTOR ACCIDENTS.
CAR OVER A BANK. MAN AND WOMAN INJURED. IN A SERIOUS CONDITION. (By Telegraph—Pres? Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. A motor-car, driven by Mr. J. Sines, who was accompanied by Mrs. S. Robertson as passenger, went over a 40ft. bank at Karori shortly after 7 p.m. yesterday. Both occupants suffered severe concussion and shock and are in 'hospital in a serious condition.
FATAL RESULT OF ACCIDENT. MAN COLLAPSES AND DIES. AUCKLAND. Monday. Following a collision between his motor-car and a tramway centre-pole on College Hill on Saturday afternoon, Mr. Albert Edward Walker, aged 47, of Ponsonby, collapsed and died in the Auckland Hospital. KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR. ELDERLY WOMAN KILLED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Sunday. While walking home last night Mrs. Florence Alton, aged G 3, of Upper Hutt, was knocked down and killed by a motor-car driven by Mr. Frederick Charles Facer. OAR PLUNGES INTO CREEK. ONE WOMAN DROWNED. (By Tele graph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN, Monday. A car driven by Theodore Allen with two passengers, Mrs May Jones and Mrs Bertha Simpson, when returning from Waipori late last night, swerved off the road near Berwick and plunged ten feet into a crock with three feet of water. The car turned over and Mrs Jones was pinned under it, and drowned. The others were brought to the Dunedin hospital, hut their injuries are not serious. MISHAPS AT AUCKLAND. AUCKLAND, Monday. Injuries to the head and one leg were sustained by Mr. T. Mullins, of Grey Lynn, as the result of being struckYy a motor-bus. Injuries to the head and a cut on the thigh were sustained by Mr. A. Clinch, as a result of a collision between his motor-cycle and a stationary motorcar at Otahuhu. A stationary car, a small model, owned by Soabrook, Fowlds, Limited, was struck by a heavy car driven by Mr. W. W. Meek, of Remuera, and lifted across the footpath into a hedge The small car suffered extensive damage, but no one was injured. WHAN GA U EI, Sunday.
A motoring accident occurred after the Harding Shield Rugby match yesterday afternoon, when a car driven by Mn- C, Rasmussen, and a service car, driven by Mr. Joseph Norman, of Kikurangi, came inlo violent collision.
