LONDON WOOL SALES. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., has received the following cablegram from its London house dated January 8: Wool sales: The list of arrivals closed on the 7th. instant. The quantities available arc: Australian 60,000 bales; New Zealand 15,000; South American 1000; Cape 3000; carried forward 13,500; total quantity available 103,000 bales. This includes 10,000 bales sundries. We will sell on the 21st. and 28th instant. The following vessels in which we are interested have arrived in time 'for the sales: Westmoreland, lonic, Ruahine, Port Darwin, Rimutaka and Mataroa. MATAMATA STOCK SALE. The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Co., Ltd., report: We held our Matamata stock sale on Wednesday, when, a medium yarding of sheep and cattleNwas penned, and a heavy yarding of fat and store pigs. Beef was easy, with sheep firm, and pigs sold well. We quote: Medium fat 2tooth shorn wethers, 28s; fat 2-tooth shorn ewes, 30s ?d; mixed sex shorn lambs, small, 14s; medium fat cows, £7 17s 6d to £9; lighter do., £6 10s to £7 2s 6d; fresh-conditioned store cows, £4 to £5 2s 6d; others, £2 7s 6d to £3 ss; heavy potting bulls, £lO 10s to £l3 10s; others, £6 10s to £9 ss; heavy baconers, £2 18s to £3 3s; medium do., £2 10s to £2 16s; heavy porkers, £2 6s to £2 11s; light do., 395,-to £2 4s; good stores, 30s to 365; slips; 20s to 275; weaners, 7s to 14s.
