THE 1928-29 LEVY. —“~ ee PER CENT IN HAND. The European rate (general, hospital and special) over the Raglan County for 1928-29 is £29,732 15s 3d. Of this amoun £19,551 12s lOd has been collected, the amount outstanding on January 8 being £lO,lßl 2s sd. The treasurer, Mr 11. Marsland, in presenting this return to yesterday's meeting of the council, stated that approximately 66 per cent, of the current year’s rates had come in, which was a collection above the average for this time of the year. With three months to go it was not anticipated that there would be very much outstanding on March 31.
