CHINA AFTERNOON.
DELIGHTFUL PARTY AT NGAHINAPOURI: Last Wednesday afternoon Mrs Neil Reid and the Misses Reid gave an enjoyable afternoon party at their residence, "Holmwood,’’ Ngahinapouri, to Miss Renee Sanders, who is shortly to be married. Mrs Reid received her guests in a pretty floral crepe de chine frock, while Miss D. Reid was dressed in floral voile with crepe de chine trimand Miss G. Reid in cream. Miss Sanders wore a cream dress relieved with green. A delightful time was spent at tennis, clock croquet, etc,, also competitions, which were won bv Misses H. Ryburn and E. Ryburn. A dainty afternoon tea was served, after which the guest of the afternoon opened her numerous parcels, which contained pretty and useful gifts of china. She suitably thanked her hostesses and friends for their kindnesses to her.
