GARDEN PARTY.

CHURCH OF CHRIST. / IN AID OF LADIES' GUILD. The Ladies' Guild of the Church of Christ held a garden party this afternoon. Mrs J. Salisbury, president of the Guild, welcomed the visitors and expressed a hope that they would enjoy themselves. She thanked the donors of gifts and the people who were looking after the stalls. The Church Orchestra, under the the_ baton of Mr Cooney, played selections, which were very much enjoyed. The stall-holders were: Children's stall, Misses Pollard and Leeder; produce, Mesdames Campbell and Salisbury; cakes and sweets, Mesdames Hoult and Livingstone; needlework, Mesdames Foster and Gadd; afternoon tea, Mesdames Pollard, Newby and helpers.
