Twenty thousand people arc homeless and destitute. They are now under the care of the Red Gross organisation. The damage is estimated at £1,000,000. NEW YORK, Nov. 30. A message from San Juan says an official tally shows that Porto Rico's loss in the September hurricane totalled £17,000,000. Further aid from America will be necessary before the inuiuiitanls can re-establish themselves.
