WESTPHALIAN DISPUTE.
ACTION BY GOVERNMENT. REFLEX IN POLITICAL ARENA. (By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyrlgrht.) (Australian Press Association.) BERLIN, Nov. 30. Owing to the failure of all attempts to settle the Ruhr iron and steel workers' dispute, the Government has decided to intervene. It has invited both sides to accept the final decision of a special arbitrator. The owners have been asked to end the lock-out immediately. If they refuse, the Government will take its own measures. There is much criticism of the Government's regular doles for the relief of the workers. The People's Party, at a meeting, objected to this violation of the Government's impartiality in industrial disputes. In consequence of this attitude, the negotiations for a grand coalition have been postponed.
