CROQUET.
MORRINSVILLE CLUB. THE ANNUAL MEETING. Mr G. Howie, pres'ded at the annual meeting of the Morrinsville Croquet Club, at which there was a good attendance of members. The report stated that the lawns had been completely renovated during the off-season and were now in firstclass order, and that there was every prospect of the season being the most successful the. club had experienced. The balance sheet showed that the financial position of the club was most satisfactory, there being a cash credit balance of £4l 9s 9d. The following officials were elected: Patron, Mr Ceo. Howie; president, Mrs <;. Howie; vice-presidents, Mrs Cooper and Mrs Clark; secretary and treasurer," Mrs P. J. -Cooper; committee, Mesdames Sterling. Donald, Branch and Butler; lea lady, Mrs Meharry; match committee, Mesdames Anderson, Hawkins and Philpott. The secretary was presented with a mallet for raising most funds for l the club. It was decided to open the season's play on October 20,
