RESTORATION OF FORIV3ER ONES. QUOTA SYSTEM PREFERRED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Tuesday. The restoration of,the old duties on cinematograph films, free and foreign one penny a lineal foot, instead of the proposed increase of 3d a foot on foreign films, is provided for in the customs resolutions passed in the House to-day. According to the Minister of Customs, Hon YV. Downie Stewart, the quota system as a means of helping British industry is preferred, and a bill dealing with that method will be brought down later in the session.
