REVOLT IN MEXICO.

SOLDIERS TAKE THE FIELD. CAPITAL UNDER PARTIAL LAW. EARLY COLLAPSE PREDICTED. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) NEW YORK, Oct. 4. Despatches received at Nogalcs, Arizona, report that a revolutionary movement has broken out in Mexico City. .It is stated that 500 soldiers marched out of the city garrison in the dead of night and took the field. Their destination is believed to be Puebla. The Mexican commander, General Obregon, lias predicted the speedy collapse of the movement. Several planes were sent in pursuit of the rebels and bombed them. The result is not known, but it is stated that the loss of life created havoc among the troops. Four thousand Federal troops have also been sent to overtake the mutineers and they are expected to engage them in battle at any moment. Mexico City is reported to be under martial law and patrolled by 15,000 soldiers. An earlier message from the Mexican capital said the Presidential election campaign might be decided on the battlefield. Two of the candidates, Generals Gomez and Serrano, had headed the anti-re-clectionists and revolted. The third candidate, General Obregon, was ready to take the field against them. Similar revolts to the one in Mexico City had occurred at Torreon and Vera Cruz. The Government claimed to be in control of the situation.
