A BAD CASE. SIX MONTHS’ IMPRISONMENT. In the Hamilton Magistrate’s Court, before Mr Wyvcrn Wilson, S.M., ibis morning, Michael Lind, for failing in respect of a maintenance order, was sentenced to six months’ imprisonment; His Worship remarking that the case was a particularly bad one, as since the order was made in June, Lind had made no effort to pay maintenance for his wife and children. In sentencing Lind to imprisonment His Worship remarked that his wife could make an arrangement to receive an allowance for herself and. children from the Prisons Department. A Case Dismissed. The case against George Alexander Horne for failing in the maintenance of his wife was dismissed on the arrangement that accused enter into a bond for £25 to guarantee that he would pay off his arrears of £lO 10s within a reasonable lime.
