NGAHINAPOURI.
Hockey Mealing. The annual general meeting of the Ngahinapouri Hockey Club was held in the hall. A fair number of players was present. Prospects for the coming season are bright and the club should be able to enter a fairly strong team in the Waikato competitions this year. The club’s financial position is satisfactory, as a credit balance of £1 11s is on hand, and as the club was badly in debt a few years ago it has reason to feel satisfied. The first practice and working bee was fixed for the first Saturday after Easter, when those intending to play should he present or they will stand a chance of being left out, as there will be a few reserves. The subscription was again fixed at 10s, payable after first match. The following office-bearers were elected: —President, Mr H. Taylor; vice-presidents, Messrs 11. Stokes, W. Sanders, T. McCallum, W. Cook, T. Allen, ,T. Crockett; committee, Messrs C. Taylor, W. Reid, R. Thomas, 11. Vickers, G. Fletcher; secretary and treasurer, C. Reid; captain, G. Fletcher; selectors, R. Thomas and G. Fletcher; delegates, C. Reid and R. Thomas. A vote pf thanks to the chairman concluded the meeting. Sports Club. A meeting of the social committee o f the Sports Club was held to discuss arrangements for the grand dance to be held on Easter Monday night after the sports.
