SHOW CHAT.

An unrehearsed incident was responsible for much diversion at the smoke concert of the New Zealand Milking Shorthorn Breeders’ Association last evening. When those present were listening attentively to the singing of pne of the entertainers ttie proceedings were disturbed by a loud crash, one of the trestles supporting the head table collapsing. Glasses, bottles, and refreshments were precipitated over the floor, but with the exception of the loss of a little liquid no damage was done. The musical programme in the concert hall at the Show last evening was provided by the Hamilton Caledonian Society. The audience was a particularly large one, and an entertaining programme, including piping and dancing, was submitted. There were a number of selections given by the Auckland Pipe Band, and these were freely encored. The dancing items were arranged by Miss Gladys Denz, while other artists who assisted were Miss Ryder and Messrs Pricker, 11. Worm, H. Blackie, and W. Fenton. Miss Clothier played the accompnimenls. TWO CASUALTIES. Two casualties occurred at the Winter Show this afternoon. A lady whose name was not disclosed, was moving through the crowd when a little boy rushed past carrying a “fluffy doll stick,” and collided heavily with her, the end of the stick piercing the lady’s breast, causing a wound almost threcquarters of an inch deep. In the second case a little boy named Wilson, a visitor from Auckland, who is staying with Mrs Hill, Milton Street, was endeavouring to board the ocean wave while it was in motion. A piece of the metal work struck his knee-cap severing a sinew.
