INIMICAL TO EMPIRE. AUSTRALIA TO TAKE ACTION. (United Press Association.; MELBOURNE, June 3. Speaking at Moonec Ponds, the Chief Secretary (Dr. Argylc) complained bitterly that some films were being used for propaganda inimical to the welfare of the British Empire.

He intimated that it was the intention of the Federal Government to introduce a bill next session to provide for a censorship of all films. The bill would also contain a clause compelling cverv picture show to screen, at least 1000 feet of British 111 m. Under the present system the Commonwealth censor controls only imported films. The object of the bill is to give the Chief Secretary full powers over all nim productions. The censor would also he empowered to order that children must not be admitted to theatres showing certain pictures which aic considered unsuitable for them.
