THE NATIONAL MEETING. (By Telegraph —Ptprs Association.)' TRENTHAM, Tuesday. The Service Scries Match No. 1 was won by Kearney (Permanent Force), with a score of 43. Devore (Auckland) was runner-up, 43; Tantraum (Levin), 39. Match No. 2 —Thompson (Maungawcka), 46; Nix (Feathcrston), 45; Dickson (Linton), 43; Simmonds (Wanganui), 43. No. 3 Match—Schumacher (Kapopga), Peterson, (Renwick), Hare (Wellington Suburbs), Park (Wanganui), and Christian (Wanganui), each the possible, 25. O'Doncll (Petonc) appears to be the winner of the Service Championship, with an aggregate of 108. Simmonds (Wanganui) has 104, and Devore (Auckland) and Nix (Featherston) 102 each. Match No. 4, six shots at moving target, 200yds., possible 30.—A. T. Graham, Duncdin, and N. Rayner, Opaki, each 24, £3 10s; W. J. Johnston, Pctone, 23, £2. Service Championship. An early start was made in brilliant weather with the Belt matches. Shooting began at 300 yards' range of the Marlborough Match. Among the first to complete 10 shots were Hogg (New Plymouth) and Roots (Palea), and they were all put in the bull's eye. These were soon followed by 49 to veteran Silvins (Duncdin), and Bitters (Wellington Suburbs). The Marlborough Match, 10 shots at 300 and 500 yards, appears to be won by Hoots (Patca), 50—i9—9'J. lie dropped the last shot into the inner ring, Jcunc, a young siiot from Gisbernc, is runner-up, 4S —50 —98; Hogg New Plymouth), 50 —17 —97, third.
