CONCILIATION COUNCIL.
WOOLLEN WORKERS' AWARD. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) GIIRISTCHURCH, Tuesday. A claim by Ihe woollen mill workers fnr a new award to cover New Zealand was heard by t" n Conciliation Council this morning. The men asked for a iO-hour week, and an hourly wage of 2s 3d for skilled work. 2s for semi-skilled, Js lOd for unskilled, and Is for female, workers. The. wages clause was held over. The hours of work and overtime were agreed to. CHMSTCHURCH, Wednesday. In the Woollen Mill Workers' claims for a Dominion Award the question of wages was referred to the Arbitration Court.
