TIMARU, Thursday

A representative meeting of the South Island Grain and Produce Merchants' Association held here resolved to support the resolution passed by the wheat-growers' meeting at Ashburton, asking for a free market for wheat, with adequate protective duties on imported wheat and Hour. A special committee was appointed to place grain merchants' views before the Minister of Agriculture.
