YOUNG GIRL'S DEATH.

CHARGE CF MURDER. TELEGRAPHIST SENT FOR TRIAL. (United Press Association.). Received 9.50 a.m. SYDNEY, November 18. At the inquest on Claire Prowse, John Smith has been committed for trial on a charge of murder. Claire Prowse, aged 17, a telephonist at Junce, died recently from wounds. It was stated that Smith had been paying his addresses to the girl and was repulsed. It is believed she had been attacked with a razor. The girl rushed into the house where she, was boarding, covered with blood, and died shortly afterwards. The police visited a room at the Junee Hotel and arrested Smith, who was suffering from two wounds, one of which was in the temple. He was on the point of collapsing and was sent to a hospital. A razor was found in his room.
