SOVIET CANARD.
CURRENT IN MOSCOW,
ALLEGED BRITISH SCHEME.
CAMPAIGN AGAINST MOSCOW
(Times.)
LONDON, July 12. The Riga, correspondent of the Times says the latest anti-British canard invented and circulated by Moscow is the allegation that the British Government has evolved a scheme tn overthrow the Soviet regime.
According to the Soviet press the British Government has made overlures to Latvia, Poland and Esthonia, and invited their participation in a military campaign against Moscow while a British Heel occupied the Baltic ports.
Responsible Soviet officials insist that Ibis report is correct. The Commissar for War, M. Frunze, in addressing the Red troops, said:— " Be ready for an open declaration of war by the British, because it is impossible to doubt that preparations for an attack arc being made."
