JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL

OFFICIAL OPENING AT MATAMATA (Special to Times.) MATAMATA, Friday.. The Miister for Education officially opened the new Junior High Schoo! this afternoon. Messrs C. E. Macmillan, M.P., Burns (chairman Auckland Education Board), E. C. Banks (member of the Board), IW. A. Gordon (chairman Matamata Town Board) and the chairman and members of local committees were also present. There was a large attendance ot parents and others, and the function was a great success. The Minister stated that this was the first country Junior High School that had been established in tha whole of New Zealand. He congratulated the residents on this mark ot progress, and wished them all success. Messrs Burns, Banks and Macmillan also spoke, predicting a great future for the school.
