An exhibit, well worth attention at the Show is that of Messrs Torode and MacDonald, wholesale and retail fruiterers, whose permanent premises arc situated in Collingwood Street and Victoria Street. Their show stand, which occupies a position just off tlu main annexe, is replete with a most appetising display of apples of thei>' own prowinc-. including such favourite varieties as Delicious. Sturmers, Rome Beauty. Cleopatra, Dougherty. Jonathan. Munros. Lord Wolsley, Ballarai. and Washington*. These are being sold from 6d per lb by this firm, which is renowned for quality and deals only in first-grade fruit. Prizes securer! by them at the Show include four firsts and three second prizes.
