MURDER OF A PRIEST.
SHOT AT CONFESSIONAL. A CHICJAQO BENSATION. AHREST OF A WOMAN. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. Received October 9, 11.30 a.m. NEW YORK, October 8. Father Basil Sletsuk, Pastor of the Great St. Nicholas' Greek Catholic Church, one of the show edifices of Chicago, was murdered in the confessional by a heavily.veiled woman who entered the Church and asked the way to the confessional. A moment later three shots startled the crowded Church, and Sletsuk staggered forth crying, "My God, I am dying." He died on the way to the hospital. The woman, who was captured, is named Strunsky, and is believed to be mentally unbalanced.
