CAR FALLS 40 FEET. OCCUPANTS' NARROW ESCAPE. By Telegraph.—Special to Tmns. NGARUAWAHIA, Monday. A serious motor accident happened on Saturday evening as Mr Bycrs was driving his car containing Messrs Clegg, Mills and Davis from Nguruawahia lo Glen Masscy. While passing through the bush a. wheel caught in Ihe water-table, with the result that the ear Jen, the road and fell over the bank, which is 40ft high, into the creek. In lis fall the ear turned over twice, landing in the bed of the stream wheels uppermost. Mr Clegg was thrown out at the first capsize, and the others fell under the ear. They crawled out with difficulty, but were uninjured except for some bruises, Mr Ciegg had two ribs broken and sustained minor injuries. The occupants of the car consider that their escape was miraculous.
