STANDARD SIZE AND COLOUR.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. ■ WELLINGTON, Monday.

For several years the public have found the varying sizes and colours of Lhc bank notes a source of confusion and annoyance, and -t is suggested to the banks and the Government that consideration should be given to the adoption of uniform sizes and colours for notes circulating in the Dominions. The. associated banks have decided to adopt a standard size of seven inches by three and ahalf. The predominating colours oi each denomination will bo: Ten shillings, yellow; £l, violet; £5, blue; £.lO, brown; £2O, green; £SO, pink; £IOO, olive green. One bank has already received a supply of the new £1 notes.
