REDDING DISASTER.

Four divers have gone to the Redding mine near Forfar, where a rush of water from a disused working entombed many miners. They propose to descend the shaft, in which there is 90ft of water, to carry food and restoratives to the three men who arc believed to be alive in section 2. One of the rescued miners says they could have held out another fortnight, so their wives continue to hope. Some 34 men are. still unaccounted for, and may be rescued.
