The first request of John Miller, a youth reoenlly married,'was'to see his six-weeks-bld son. When his wife appeared Miller, with ihe tears coursing down his cheeks, murmured; “I’ll tell you all about it later, but first give me wee Johnny; I want to talk to him." His wife, who was beside herself with joy, told the onlookers, “I knew John would be spared for Johnny’s sake.” '
