SUPREME COURT

PRISONERS SENTENCED. By Telegraph,—Press Association. WELLINGTON, Saturday. In the Supreme Court the following prisoners were sentenced;- —Archibald Andrew diaries Scott, for forgery and theft at Nelson, two years’ reformatory treatment at Invercargill; Benjamin Frederick John Taylor, for assault and robbery at Foxton, 12 months’ iiard labour; Frederick Thompson, for manslaughter at Carterton, was sentenced to a year's hard labour; John Lawrence Sullivan, for forgery and theft, 12 months’ imprisonment; James Archer, ex-Borough engineer at Mastcrton, 14 charges of forgery in connection with borough funds defalcation, totalling £738, two years’ hard labour.
