BALLOT FOR CHEVIOT RUNS

CHRISTCHURCH. Thursday. The result of the ballot of Cheviot runs offered to returned soldiers was: Section 1, 695 acres, capital value £5020: Frederick Charles de Lambert, sheep owner, Timaru. Section 2, 514 acres, capital value £4420,. Captain William James Rodger, C'hristchurch.
Section 3, 2000 acres, capital value £13,020: Donald Williamson Smith, tanner, Ashburton. There were 631 applicants.
