£3,325,074 IN 55,237 CLAIMS.
(By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Thursday. Up to Saturday, January 10, the War Expenses Department had met 55,237 claims for' gratuities. These represented a total disbursement, of £3,325,074. Claims were dealt with last week at an average rate of 1020 per daj'.
