THE FRENCH MISSION

APPRECIATION EXPRESSED. ON NEW ZEALAND TOUR. (By Official Cablegram.) LONDON, April 3. General Pan, who has just returned from a mission to Australia and New Zealand, took the earliest possible opportunity of calling upon Mr Massey, Prime Minister, to express on behalf of himself and the members of the Commission fiie very high appreciation of the cordiality of their welcome to New Zealand and of the arrangements made both by the Government and local authorities in connection with the Mission. The General and his colleagues express themselves as having been delighted with their visit to New Zealand. Their only regret was their inability to remain longer in so charming a country among such hospitable people.
