Received April 5, 10.20 a.m. LONDON, April A. The impatience at the slow progress of the Peace Sonfcrencc is increasing. Correspondents indfca , to''that there are acute differences atj'd/hint at the possibility of a breakdown. They protest against the selfishness of some delegates, and emphasise the dangers of secrecy, the delegations working in watertight compartments. They fear that a hastily patched-.up peace may be the result. The perilous position of 12,000 British in North Russia is arousing intense indignation and anxiety. The newspapers demand energetic and united Allied action, and declare that the Peace Conference's failure to define its Russia policy is responsible for the situation.
REACHING THE FINAL FINDINGS. (Australian and N.Z. Gable Assn.) Received April 5, 1 p.m. LONDON, April 4. The return of Mr Lloyd George is expected shortly, owing to the advancement the Peace Conference has made in arriving at the Anal findings.
