REPATRIATION
GERMANY’S IMMEDIATE PAYMENT. FIXED AT £1.000,000,000. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received April 5, 12.20 a.m. NEW YORK, April 4. The New York World’s Paris correspondent states that the Peace Congress has tentatively agreed that the reparation Germany will be asked to pay immediately will be £1.000,000,000. GERMANY MUST PAY. (Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn.) Received April 5, 10.20 a.m. PARIS, April 3. Mr Lloyd George, in an interview, stated that Britain was in full accord with France’s desire for the fullest reparation from Germany. Britain would present a bill to Germany, who has got to find a way of meeting it. NEW YORK, April 4. The World’s Paris correspondent states that the total amount of the German reparation will be fixed within two years, and will probably reach £9,000,000,000.
